The preliminary conference of the first 6 months of 2009

           On 26/06/2009, VEPF held the preliminary conference of the first 6 months of 2009. Over the first 6 months of 2009, VEPF completed the planned and made decision to soft loan for 14 projects with the total amounts of approximately 50 billion VND; in which one project is in the Decision No. 64 by the Prime Minister, disbursement is over 20 billion, original debt collection is 6.1 billion and interest collection is 1.4 billion. As well, debt retirement and disbursement were carried out in accordance with the commitment. At present, there is no bad debt and debt renewal.

        In addition, VEPF considered aiding some proposed projects from Vietnam Environment Administration (VEA), Department of Meteorology and Climate change so as to sponsor prizes giving to VIFOTEC Fund. New activities are enhanced by VEPF, namely deposit of environment recovery in mineral exploitation, now there are about 8 billion VND paid by 20 units for the deposit of environment recovery in mineral exploitation. Project management and CDM fee collection under the fresh production mechanism is developed step by step, up to now it has been received 927,366 Euro of transfer fee of 2,357,768 CERs. Foreign affairs and International cooperation were further developed and expanded to some countries and inbound and outbound organizations. As well, in the conference, specific directions and targets was planed for the last six months of the year.
